Campus Map
If you are continuing on to the Chain Technology Building (TEC), or cannot find visitor's parking at the front of Southern Hall along East Memorial Drive, proceed down East Memorial Drive, making a left onto College Drive (2) and then make the first right hand turn at the stop sign to proceed down West Memorial Drive (3). You will drive only a short distance past the Hub Building, coming to another stop sign at which you must turn left. This road ends in a t-junction. The Building facing you (new, pink/red brick and sandstone is Polymer Science), located on Sunset Drive (4). The building on your left is the Johnson Science Tower (multistory, local tall building) and on your right is the Chain Technology Building (low, flat modern, red brick building).
Parking is difficult to find, however you can always park in the lot next to the Payne Center. Make a right at the Polymer Science Building onto Sunset Drive (4), then go straight until almost the traffic light, turning left just before the light into the large parking lot. If this lot is full, there is overflow parking across 4th Street.
Hardy Street is the main street through Hattiesburg and is shown in greater detail on the Map of Hattiesburg. You can either access it from I-59, in which case you drive east toward USM about 1 mile with the main entrance to USM being on your left as you proceed down Hardy Street, or from US-49, in which case you turn right onto it with the entrance to USM being on your right only a fraction of a mile up the road.
A perspective view of the campus showing Southern Hall (Mathematics) from 49 and Hardy street is also available. The yellow parking areas on this map show faculty parking.
An approximation of the Campus map in text format is also available if you cannot print these instructions conveniently on your printer.
Thank you for visiting.
