USING THE Ebin SCRIPTS

This document is intended to provide additional information on the use of the shell scripts in the Ebin directory. These files all begin with E, hence are Efiles.

  1. To construct your own Ebin, set your path to include the directory Ebin, then install the files in Ebin.tar.gz in the directory Ebin. A current copy of the files is kept in Ebin for updating your Ebin directory.

  2. Make sure you copy the files Els, Emore, and Expl. The file Els lists your Ebin directory, Emore runs the Unix command more on any file in the Ebin directory, and Expl gives a description and list of every Efile in your Ebin directory.

By using the standard format for each Efile so that it contains the line containing E_man: with the command name and its description, that it,

    #
    # E_man: Efile : Lists files in $HOME/Ebin and /home/Ebin.
    #

The command Efile will list its contents when Expl is used.
