Enter the function f(x) using standard notation,
for example if f(x) = cos(x), enter
The rules for entering a function are that the variable must be x, and multiplication division, and exponentiation are given by *, /, **. The standard name for exponential is exp(x) and for logarithm is log(x). All other trigonmetric functions are the same. To enter numbers in scientific notation, use for example 1.0e3 for 1000. You may enter a comma delimited list of functions, for example to plot cos(x) and x*x, enter
This will plot both functions on the same graph.
To get a hardcopy on your disk, click the right mouse button on the figure, then press 'save', change format to Postscript, then press 'ok'. This puts a copy of the file on your disk for printing.
If you get only an empty plot, then the function is not correctly specified.
