Journal Ratings in Mathematical Sciences
The ratings were made by the Australian Research Council (ARC) as part of their Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) program. The ratings were initially released in 2010 and an official up-to-date journal ratings of the ARC in mathematical sciences may be found here. Each journal is assigned one to three fields of research ("FOR" in the ratings table stands for "Fields of Research" which is part of Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC)) and one of four tiers:
- A* - one of the best in its field or subfield
- A - very high quality
- B - solid, though not outstanding
- C - does not meet the criteria of the higher tiers
